Vigil — Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of Vigil, operated by Keyao Zhu, an individual based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada ("we", "us").

1. Information, not advice
Vigil provides general market information and historical statistics. It is not investment, financial, tax or legal advice, and it is not a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security. We are not a registered adviser or dealer and we do not know your full financial situation. Decisions you make are your own. Consider speaking with a qualified professional.

2. No predictions, no guarantees
Historical statistics describe the past; they do not predict the future. Figures may be delayed, incomplete or wrong. "Your estimated impact" is an approximation based on historical relationships and the amounts you enter. AI-written summaries report what news coverage said and may contain errors; sources are shown so you can check them.

3. Alerts
Alerts are sent on a best-effort basis. Delivery depends on third-party services (data providers, push services, your device settings) and may be late or fail. Do not rely on Vigil as your only source of market information.

4. Subscriptions
Vigil Premium is an auto-renewing subscription billed by Apple or Google. It renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. Features may change; the free alerts will remain free.

5. Acceptable use
Don't misuse the service, attempt to access other users' data, overload our systems, or resell Vigil's content as your own. We may suspend accounts that do.

6. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vigil is provided "as is", and we are not liable for any investment losses or for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of it. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

7. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.

8. Changes
We may update these Terms; continued use after an update means you accept it.

Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to users on iOS.
